Not your grandmother's crafts

'Tis the season for the gays to craft (or to buy crafts). From top to bottom:
  1. Woolly snowbabies, hand knit, felted, embroidered, beaded and stuffed by the Rock (with key help by BossofMe and Husband O'). Based on a Marie Mayhew design, these sold like hotcakes at the Rock's agency craft sale. (Photographed by Going40 on a frigid morning, outside, in the snow, in pajamas).
  2. Earlier this month we went to a fantastic craft sale at the Midtown Global Market in Minneapolis. Letterpress, knitting accessories, cool graphics: no crocheted handtowels at this sale. The yarn holder above is fashioned out of recycled sweaters. Place your ball of yarn in the zippered pocket, thread through the grommet, and the weighted base keeps your yarn handy and tangle-free. Check out Popsie Daisy to see all their great wares. If I ever finish studying for finals, I'll get to finish knitting the attached scarf, made with my very favorite Malabrigo yarn.
  3. At the Rock's agency craft sale, he found these amazing bowls, made entirely out of rolls of ticket stubs. One is for us, and one for his bingo-loving grandma.

All wonderful. Thank you for the break from my making an early Christmas dinner. (Early because daughter two will be in Oslo visiting the BF on the actual Christmas day.) Do you have a source for the ticket stub bowls?

Good luck with the finals!

Thanks for mentioning popsiedaisy on your blog. It is very exciting to see our little guys being put to work...They love it!

On a different note, I'm very happy to read that you vizsla is doing better....I have a thirteen year old vizsla named Daisy who always seems to find the chocolate covered espresso beans. Oy!
