Hal Holbrook was nominated today for best actor in a supporting role, for his work in
Into the Wild. Why is this good news, besides the happiness it must bring Mr. Holbrook, 82? This nomination is a major coup for my baby brother, Steve, who as a successful Hollywood publicist, counts Mr. Holbrook as a client. My brother is very good at his job, and I'm very proud of him.

Awwww. That's nice.
I bet Normal Steve is proud too.
Not to brag too much, but I did tell Steve (at the big birthday bash) that Hal would be nominated. That Into the Wild scene where he climbs the hill? I thought he'd keel over. Not "Ron", Hal. I was genuinely worried. Can you cay suspension of reality?
I'm sure it was my prescience/support that put him over the edge.
PS To the great Steve: Um, wouldn't it be your job to have a picture of Hal posted on imdb? Might want to look into that...
