Still not quite one of the gang

It happened again: first day of the semester, sitting in German class waiting to begin. Except this time the teacher was already in the room, at the head of the class, talking to us. But a young man walked in, came and stood next to me, and said, "I'm dropping," while handing me his drop slip. The class broke up laughing while I yelled, "Not me; her!" and pointed to Professorin. Sound familiar?

I'm still old. They're still young.

I think you're living in the screen play for that Bill Murray movie, Groundhog's Day.

If I remember right, at the end he gets the girl . . .

I think you forgot the "comma bitch" after your response. "I'm just old, bitch." That's what the sassy gay movie version of you would have said. :)
