The age factor strikes again

I was the small group leader tonight in Africa class. We're on break
right now, and I'm the best group leader ever and I think I was
probably born to teach. But I digress. When we discussed the 1994
Rwandan genocide tonight, and I offered examples of articles I had
read in The New Yorker during the crisis, etc. the other members of
the group pointed out that in 1994 they were seven years old, learning
to read.

I believe the appropriate response would have been, "You didn't learn to read until you were SEVEN?! That explains a lot."

I just realized that in the process of cleaning out the kitchen, we threw away spices that were older than Eric ... and ALL of my co-workers.
