But I'm in class. We're taking a cultural studies approach to Harry Potter tonight. Lots of tangents. Somebody mentioned the failure of New Coke, and a pretty young co-ed asked, "You mean you can't get Coke Zero anymore?"

As part of my company's recent merger, I met a guy who was on the ad team for the New Coke campaign back in the '80s. He has horror stories to tell about how hard his firm tried to convince the company that it was a TERRIBLE idea to mess with Coke's brand identity. Seems he was right.
I love the line about Coke Zero. Do you ever want to scream when you hear your classmates talk? I used to feel that way when I was teaching 20 year-olds. (And I was still in my twenties!)
