I won't report every grade I ever get, but today was a good day. We received our German exams from Frau R., and I earned 125 out of 127 points; for those of you not wanting to do the math, that's 98.4%. We'll celebrate with a Blog Appreciation Night at Liberty Custard sometime soon.
Also, Dr. A was impressed with my two days' worth of work on the Scriabin etude (we chose the piece on Tuesday). It was a very good lesson, and he knows what he's doing.
Finally, LitCrit. The paper we received back was to be my first real indication of how I'm doing, writing-wise, as far as Prof. K is concerned. To my overwhelming relief, she liked my reaction paper to Gilman's "The Yellow Wallpaper" quite a bit, giving me 9.5 out of 10 points. The paper is one of which I'm quite proud, and it's a relief that I wasn't totally off the mark.
Hope your day has had at least three reassuring moments as well.

Nothing satisfies like a good day in academia, unless it's Double Fluff Oreo frozen custard.
We'll be with Emanuel Ax tonight, so we can't join you at LC, but please think of us while enjoying the sugary goodness.
Congratulations!
That's my baby!
Deb and I will also be at Emanuel Ax tonight (I love a good guitar player) after we eat at the Dakota ...
but I'm glad your perception and writing skills were appreciated.
Congrats! It's always nice to get positive feedback. That happened to me several times at the new job today. We both rock, it seems.
And today on my watch, no one needed to be hospitalized, and no one had command hallucinations that interfered with their daily routine.
A good day all around.
What? You didn't have to go to the library for a half hour and hide under tables during a tornado warning like the rest of us?
(Actually, that half hour wasn't so bad. At the end of the school day, they announced that no one could leave the building until the new tornado warning ended, which meant everyone had to stay an extra ten minutes. I'll just let you imagine the student response. Clue: They would disagree with today's post's title.)
