Plug your ears - it's the soundtrack and audio that heighten the fear factor.
As a long time McCarthy fan, I read No Country for Old Men in hard cover (not borrowed, even). From what I've seen of random excerpts and heard from critics (such as our dearest host), this may be one of those rare occasions where the film exceeds the prose.
Thanks to Netflix, it's my weekend entertainment.
