A sunny Friday on campus

Yes, TGIF, but really: what a good week! Not only did I get the invitation to the summer research program, I got a very lovely note from my faculty colleague intimating that the committee had looked quite favorably on my proposal. Then, later that same day, the piano faculty asked me to play in Hamline's Honors Day recital on May 1. Then, I started to understand my German homework for the week. And today, it's sunny, almost sixty degrees, I'm on campus for most of the day, and the jocks are starting to wear shorts! How could the world get much better?

This weekend, much German studying to do, a depressing novel about South Africa to read, and a paper for BritLit to research (historical context: the role of the Book of Common Prayer in Charlotte Bronte's England. Anyone?)

And scariest of all, we're going to watch No Country for Old Men tonight, and I assume I'll have to spend much of the movie hiding under a blanket.

The blog looks great - kudos to Phil (but I miss the cropped piano music title!).

We've had that movie from Netflix for weeks. I love the Coen Bros., but I'm so afraid to watch this one.

Congrats on all the success at school, Scott. Very cool.
