Apropos de rien

Is it wrong of me to love this frock? Yeah, I know, it's a misogynist's wet dream, but it's exuberant and pretty and I can't help it! By the Dutch designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren (Is all good design Dutch? I think so. Discuss.), from their Flowerbomb collection, "Karolina" is on loan from the Kyoto Costume Institute for a show of the designers' work at the Barbican Art Gallery in London. J'adore.

It's fine that you love this frock. I don't find it to be misogynistic, I guess because it amuses me. It would be tons of fun to walk down the runway in this dress because the ribbons might be kind of fluttery. It seems very fabric-positive. I guess I'd probably lose the bow before I put out an eye with it.

For many years we woke up on Saturday morning and watched "Style with Elsa Klensch, bringing you design ideas from the worlds of fashion, beauty and decorating," Each week we would vote on who hated women the most. Occasionally we'd have to retire designers from active competition after they qualified for the lifetime achievement award of womenhating, and were no longer allowed to participate in active competition.

And it is certainly true that all good design is Dutch. This link is worth loading: http://producten.hema.nl/

OK. I've committed to wearing this dress for your senior recital - a lot less pressure for you, I think.
