My former boss had tickets to attend the inauguration, but she threw them away when Warren was picked for the invocation. I still would have gone, but I would have made farty noises all during his prayer. Just my classy form of protest...

As you may have heard, I've completed my service to the Vow of Bitterness.

However.

I think Rick Warren's history of hatespeech is so pervasive, and his language was so explicit, that he hasn't come anywhere near to earning forgiveness.

I agree with Eric, but I'm going to spin it a little. I think in his speech he forgave himself, in a vague sideways manner.

He owes the world a much bigger conversation. HIs apology and amends will need to be as strong and clearly worded as he made his earlier hatespeech, or it doesn't count for much.
